Lake Nakuru National Park

It is an alkaline lake located along the Great Rift Valley, 90km north of Lake Naivasha, 56 different species of mammals and 450 Species of birds are recorded. It is famous for wildlife such as the white rhinos, giraffes and birds like pelicans and flamingos.

Gatamaiyu Forest Reserve

It is located south of Aberdare National Park, known as a good bird watching site

Kisumu Impala Sanctuary

Located on the shores of Lake Victoria, the sanctuary for impalas, lions, leopards giraffes ostriches and many more.

Kakamega Forest National Park

It is the only tropical rainforest in Kenya, 7 primates and 330 species of birds are recorded. It is known for popular bird watching thanks to rare species like the Blue Headed bee eater and Black Billed Turaco.

Kongelai Escarpment

Located about 60km north from Kitale in western Kenya. It offers an altitudinal transect featuring about 270 species of birds including the White-crested Turaco, Eastern Plantain-eater among others.

Lake Baringo

It is an alkaline lake located right next to an escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, 60km north of Lake Bogoria. It is known as a bird watching site thanks to flamingos and the Goliath Heron.

Lake Magadi

It is an alkaline lake at the southernmost in the Rift Valley. It is known for its flamingos and pink color water.
